So today, Kim, Val, Jenny and I went to Deakin University open day, we were suppose to go La trobe as well, but we ended up getting abit lost on the tram, and we just gave up and went to shopping. So we met at the station at 8.40am and I was the last to arrive, this was probably the first time, I wasnt the earliest, suck it bitches have to wait for me. Anyways we got to Deakin after a 40 minute train ride and 1 hour 30 minute tram ride. I expected Deakin to be hard to get to, but it was so simple and easy! So we went around the uni and my gosh it had such a good vibe, I took like so many pens, and free stuff. Deakin gave out free popcorn, free drinks, free pens, rubbers, note pads, stress balls and even free trampoline rides lol. It was such a nice uni, fresh air and just had this really good vibe. Did I mention, a photo booth? Nigga say what? Anyways, after scabbing a million pens, I decided to go to the science area, I was talking to this lecturer, about getting into medicine, and she was like it doesnt matter what uni or course you do, it matters most about your grade points and GAMSAT. Theres no advantage of you studying at Deakin for an undergraduate course and then applying post graduate for medicine. Also I went to talked to another lecturer about biomed, there was two people who came up to him and said ' Hi I want to do biomedical science to get into medincine.....' in two seconds two people asked him that, like my gosh, I have no chance at beating these smart people, I think everybody who want to do biomed wants to get into medicine. Sighh sighhh. We left Deakin, and went back to the city to eat, afterwards we were suppose to go to La Trobe but then we got lost, well kind of on the tram and gave up, seeing we probably wouldnt make it on time, we decided to go shopping instead and plus we were all going to La Trobe for an excursion on Tuesday, so yeah! I bought some face mask product and an eye lash curler. Right now I am so confused and lost on which uni I should go to for Biomed.I really like Deakin, but I dont want a huge amount of competition, seeing those who didnt make it into Melbourne and Monash Uni would choose Deakin as their third preference and I want to have the greatest chance of getting into med... Sigh, what to do, what to do, decisions, decisions, decisions......
